Job Details
As a Family Law Attorney, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Representing clients in all stages of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, property division, and adoption cases.
2. Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
3. Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to advise clients on their legal rights and obligations.
4. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve disputes amicably and cost-effectively.
5. Preparing and presenting cases at court hearings and trials.
6. Managing a case from inception to resolution, including case planning, strategy development, discovery, and court appearances.
7. Building strong relationships with clients, providing them with compassionate support and clear communication throughout their case.
8. Staying updated on changes in family law and related legal fields to provide the most current and effective legal advice.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar where you are practicing.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in family law, with a strong background in litigation, legal writing, and case management.
4. Proven experience in handling family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, property division, and adoption law.
5. Exceptional legal writing and research skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
6. Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills, with a strong ability to represent and protect our clients’ interests.
7. Strong case management skills, with the ability to manage a large caseload effectively and meet deadlines.
8. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and provide them with compassionate and effective legal support.
10. Proficiency in using legal software for case management, legal research, and document drafting.
11. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with strong self-motivation and discipline.
