Blockchain Frontend Engineer

Venture backed DeFi startup is hiring for a full stack software engineer! I've also placed folks with this CEO and they've had excellent feedback on the culture and scope of work. They are building marketplaces that increase the efficiency and liquidity in decentralized markets as the first protocol to power decentralized order flow markets. They are the first movers working on an incredibly important unsolved problem in DeFi and their team background is well-poised for solving that problem quickly and correctly, with backgrounds in high-frequency trading, financial markets, and FAANG tech at companies. They are committed to bringing the same levels of market sophistication seen in traditional markets to decentralized markets in order to enable the next wave of crypto adoption through building beautifully designed decentralized software and crypto user experiences.

They are building a fairer, and more transparent platform for retail investors to invest their assets, as well as novel financial primitives for market makers to trade with. These systems need to be high-reliability, and fault-tolerant. A Senior Fullstack Software Engineer role will consist of building infrastructure to power these applications, as well as maintain them. Projects will range from writing niche indexers for blockchain networks, with an initial focus on Solana, to building high-performance servers with strong API security guarantees, and implementing front-end UI designs.

Skillset & Responsibilities

• 5+ YOE of software engineering experience
• BS Degree in Computer Science or related STEM
• Ability to learn new programming languages and frameworks quickly
• Experience in TypesScript, React, Node.js, Express, & Python
• An understanding of web application architectures and programming paradigms
• Excellent software engineering workflows and practices (e.g. git, CI, unit testing, etc.)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pluses

• Industry experience in Blockchain, Web3, or related
• Experience with the Solana programming paradigm, and the Anchor framework
• Web3 or related experience
