Residential Project Manager

Our fast-growing construction company is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and dynamic Permanent Residential Project Manager. This role is pivotal to our success as it involves overseeing all aspects of our residential construction projects, from initial planning to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
• Meet contractual conditions of performance.
• Review the work progress on a daily basis.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
• Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
• Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
• Manage the procurement of materials and equipment.
• Foster positive and effective relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by promptly addressing their concerns and managing their expectations.

Qualifications:

• Proven working experience in construction project management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
• Understanding of all facets of the construction process, including blueprint reading and materials management.
• Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
• Competent in conflict and crisis management.
• Excellent time and project management skills.
• Strong leadership and team building abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
• BSc/BA in engineering, building science, construction management or relevant field.
• PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
