Job Details

The major responsibility of this position is to work with Retail business unit management to develop and plan the goals, objectives and strategies of the company and to assist with the execution of these plans. Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining a process of preparing, analyzing and communicating financial information to be used to plan, evaluate and control the company’s resources. Lead and develop the Finance team supporting the business unit.

Job Requirements
Manage the work of five finance employees supporting the business unit.
Independently analyze and report data to determine if Business Units are on track to projected profitability.
Investigate variance from the plan and offer corrective action.
Lead margin improvement and working capital projects.
Development of retail pricing, including adherence to pricing policies and procedures.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
Assist with requests from internal and external auditors.
Train and advise commercial team on finance and systems.
Develop models for budgeting and forecasting.
Work with sales team to manage contracts and alignment of Retail brokers.
Monitor Retail trade spending planned by the commercial team.
Provide financial support to Plastics Technology and Development group.
Prepare capital requests in support of Retail commercial products.

Essential Requirements

Knowledge and Experience
Broad accounting experience with full range of responsibility for at least eight (8) years.
BS in Accounting or related degree
Excellent communication skills demonstrated both verbally and written
Strong management skills and ability to professionally develop employees
Strong presentation skills using various applications and tools
Advanced knowledge of Excel and Business Intelligence tools
Manufacturing costing knowledge

Desirable But Not Essential:

More than 10 years of accounting experience at the management level in accounting/finance environment
CPA and/or MBA
Knowledge and management of Retail trade spending programs
