Revenue Cycle Manager

The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient billing and collections of all healthcare services provided in a long-term care facility. The individual in this role will oversee revenue cycle functions, including billing, coding, collections, and denial management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement revenue cycle processes and procedures that optimize revenue and cash flow while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage and coordinate daily revenue cycle operations, including billing, coding, collections, and denial management.
• Monitor and analyze accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections.
• Identify and resolve revenue cycle issues, including denial management, insurance verification, and payment posting.
• Stay up to date on regulatory changes and best practices in revenue cycle management to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless revenue cycle operations across the long-term care facility.
• Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure billing accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue cycle management.
• Manage and mentor revenue cycle staff, providing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare finance or revenue cycle management, preferably in a long-term care facility setting.
• Extensive knowledge of medical billing, coding, and collections, including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement regulations.
• Strong financial management and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop solutions quickly.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams.
• Excellent communication skills to manage relationships with internal teams, patients, and insurance providers.
• Proficiency in revenue cycle management software and systems.
