Who we seek
  • Plastic sales experience - PET (polyethylene terephthalate) preferred, not required
  • Honesty / transparency is an absolute must
  • Hunter Mentality - Business Development
  • Need to be a highly organized Team Player
  • Able to travel across North America up to 50% of his time

Primary Responsibilities
o Establish a sales pipeline by Identifying the right channels and trade partners
o Determine volumes at stake and sales cycles in coordination with the flakes’ logistics manager
o Create a system able to handle both structural volumes and potential variability
o Negotiate proper incoterm or contract, ensure timely pick up / deliveries from sources
o Ensure competitive pricing year round through adequate agreement and spot opportunities whenever required

  • Regular trading activities

o Full Cycle Flakes trading (specs, volume, price and price monitoring, incoterm, payment terms…)
 constant monitoring of price fluctuations across relevant geography
 on-going adaptation of regional distribution to reach highest FOB prices

o Volume management
 ensure consistency between 4 weeks rolling forecast and sales outlet
 handle exceptions / emergencies
 Manage complaints in accordance with company procedures - complaint validation, and potential re-sales activities or discount

  • Performance Management

o Pricing - monthly report provided to management: flakes fob vs relevant index

  • Inventories management

 monthly feedback from sources/ customers versus target otif (on time in full)
 monthly report on warehouse inventories, should be kept within pre-agreed bracket
