Job Details

We are assisting a Client that is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Permanent SBA Business Development Officer to join their team in the Finance industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the growth and success of the organization by leveraging their skills in prospecting, territory sales, direct sales, and account management. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new SBA loan opportunities, as well as managing existing accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aimed at securing new SBA loan opportunities.
2. Leverage your skills in prospecting, territory sales, and direct sales to drive revenue growth.
3. Manage existing accounts, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
4. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target businesses.
5. Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and developments.
6. Work closely with the credit team to ensure loan applications are processed and approved in a timely manner.
7. Provide regular reports on sales activities, achievements, and challenges to senior management.
8. Participate in industry events and networking activities to increase brand visibility and generate leads.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent would be an advantage.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in the finance industry, with a strong track record in sales and business development.
3. Proven experience in prospecting, territory sales, direct sales, and account management.
4. In-depth knowledge of SBA loan products and the small business lending market.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of clients.
6. Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a customer-focused approach.
7. Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
