Security Engineer

Job Summary
Analyze threats and escalations from multiple sources, both internal and external. Responsible for the security events of the Mergers and Acquisitions computer systems and networks. Triage a wide variety of security events, conduct detailed and comprehensive investigation and drive issues to closure. You will also contribute with the team in developing innovative solutions for detection and event handling. Identify threats to cloud systems, develop new features to meet security needs, and build, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve cloud-based systems.

Job Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and implementing security controls
Designs, deploys and tests technical controls to meet specific security requirements
Manages test processes and standards to ensure that security configurations are maintained
Performs a range of assignments and may lead projects within own discipline
Applies working knowledge of business and best practices gained through understanding of key business drivers and recognition of how own area integrates within organization
Works within broad guidelines and polices to accomplish objectives and goals
Solves moderately complex to complex problems and analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgement and precedents
Explains complex and/or sensitive information in a straightforward manner
Acts as a resource for colleagues, provides guidance to less experienced team members
Individual contributor working with limited oversight
Performs all other duties as assigned by management

Education
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
