Job Details

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to support our lease accounting under ASC 842 standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in lease accounting and will be responsible for managing the accounting and reporting for our lease portfolio. This role will help ensure compliance with accounting standards, streamline processes, and support the broader finance team in achieving operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lease Accounting Compliance: Manage the accounting for leases in accordance with ASC 842, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately.

Lease Classification: Review and classify leases as operating or finance leases, including lease modifications and terminations.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and ensure accurate lease-related disclosures for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Lease Data Management: Utilize NetSuite to maintain lease records, track right-of-use (ROU) assets, lease liabilities, and related adjustments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Legal, Operations, Finance) to track lease agreements, terms, and modifications.

Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end close process by ensuring proper lease accounting entries and reconciliations are completed.

Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by preparing relevant lease schedules, reports, and documentation.

Process Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements related to lease accounting and reporting.

Regulatory Updates: Stay informed on any changes or updates to lease accounting standards (ASC 842) and proactively implement adjustments as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in lease accounting, with a strong understanding of ASC 842.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems. Strong Excel skills.

Industry Knowledge: Experience in healthcare, private equity, or related sectors is a plus.

Analytical Skills: Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
