Are you a dynamic, experienced Senior Accountant with a knack for job costing? We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our vibrant team in the construction industry. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and general ledger management. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our financial management. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing job costing procedures to ensure accurate and timely cost allocation.
2. Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial reports to provide accurate and comprehensive financial information.
3. Conducting financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
4. Creating and posting journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
5. Performing monthly, quarterly, and yearly reconciliations to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
6. Participating in the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing valuable insights based on historical data and future projections.
7. Collaborating with other departments to streamline financial operations and improve financial performance.
8. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Solid experience with job costing, financial reporting, financial analysis, journal entries, general ledger management, reconciliations, and annual budgeting and forecasting.
4. Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
5. Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
7. High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions.
