Senior Accountant (REMOTE) - Hospital Experience Required

We are a large hospital system spanning across the state of Delaware and we put our patients and our people first. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the Medical industry. This is a remote position, providing the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our healthcare organization, ensuring that all financial statements are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements. The ideal Senior Accountant will be someone with Healthcare experience (auditing Hospitals OR working in accounting at various Health Systems). It's preferred that the candidate has their CPA, but open to someone in pursuit of. We offer amazing benefits, work-life balance, and awesome culture!

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly basis
• Conduct month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
• Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and potential risks
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of experience in a Senior Accountant role
• Experience in the healthcare or hospital industry
• Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
