Senior Accountant

We are a passionate organization looking for an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing team!

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance industry team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing annual financial statements, general ledger accounting, bank reconciliations, and month-end-close procedures. As a Senior Accountant, you will lead the month-end-close process and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Conduct general ledger accounting and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Lead the month-end-close process and ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial information and support decision-making
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Assist with year-end audit and tax preparation
• Mentor and train junior staff members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience with general ledger accounting and bank reconciliations
• Ability to lead and manage the month-end-close process
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
