Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial statements
• Conduct reconciliations of various accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Create, analyze, and present monthly financial statements to senior management
• Monitor payables, budget variances, and important trends to identify areas of improvement
• Assist with audit and income tax filing processes
• Manage fixed assets and capital projects to ensure timely completion and accurate reporting
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
• Train and mentor junior staff members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance
• Experience with fixed assets, cost accounting and capital projects
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger reporting and analysis
• Ability to create, analyze, and present monthly financial statements
• Experience with audit and income tax filing processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
