The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for the collection and analysis of financial information, reviewing journal entries, account reconciliation, and performing accounting/tax research. The Senior Financial Accountant will assist management by providing financial reporting, guidance, and knowledge. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and demonstrated knowledge of technical and operational accounting functions are a must.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Prepare and review general ledger journal entries, reconcile accounts, and update financial and managerial reports.

Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.

Design process improvements; assist in testing and implementing any new processes.

Train and mentor new hires.

Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.

Analyze and research Accounting Standards Updates - US GAAP periodically.
