We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing team. Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing client accounts, overseeing financial reporting, and assisting with tax preparation. This position requires an individual with strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously. You will work closely with clients, partners, and other team members to provide top-tier accounting services.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain client accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes for multiple clients.
Review and prepare tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, and other entities), ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations.
Assist clients with financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow analysis.
Supervise and mentor junior staff accountants, providing guidance and training as needed.
Review client transactions and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide strategic recommendations.
Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
Stay up-to-date with accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA certification (or in progress) required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, and financial reporting.
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members at all levels.
Detail-oriented, with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in preparing tax returns for a wide variety of industries, including real estate, healthcare, and small businesses.
Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems.
Strong experience with audit preparation and working with external auditors.
