Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our fashion industry team. As a permanent employee, you will be a crucial part of the financial operations of our organization. You will work closely with our accounting team to ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries
• Perform monthly and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and standards
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate inventory accounting and cost accounting
• Provide support during audits and ensure that all audit requirements are met
• Manage and mentor junior accounting staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• CPA certification preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the apparel, CPG or fashion industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards
• Experience with Netsuite or similar accounting software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
