Senior Accountant

Our client is a multinational manufacturer of paper products, building materials, and packaging. Their Product range includes a wide range of products, including paper towels, tissue, napkins, and other household paper products.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial reports, and coordinating the company's financial activities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Financial Statement Preparation
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts
• Maintain and reconcile the company's bank and credit card accounts
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement cost accounting strategies to enhance profitability
• Analyze manufacturing and production costs, work with production teams to identify areas of cost reductions and cost efficiencies
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and prepare reports as required by management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Advanced knowledge in cost accounting principles and procedures
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting regulations
• Highly skilled in financial analysis, financial planning, and budgeting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
