Senior Accountant

We are a leading healthcare research and technology company.

Assists the Accounting Manager in maintaining general ledger and financial reporting for all divisions by:

• Review account reconciliations
• Analyzes budget variances
• Prepare budget versus actual internal financial statements
• Review spend activity to confirm accruals
• Prepare internal financial reports
• Maintain electronic systems and reports

Assist With Month-end Close Processes By

• Posting entries for month end closing
• Performing month end account analysis

Assists With Internal And External Audits By

• Preparing supporting schedules
• Monitoring the activity of corporate and foreign subsidiaries

Maintains accurate records and control reports by

• Performing account audits and analysis
• Assisting in ensuring SOX compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field required
• Licensed CPA preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Accounting
• SOX experience preferred
• Proven ability in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients and co-workers
• Proficiency in Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint required; Advanced skills in Excel and Access strongly preferred
