Senior Accounting Analyst – Cash Operations
Our client is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst – Cash Operations to join their finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of cash and credit operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience managing financial transactions and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the application, deposit, reconciliation, and authorization/settlement of cash, cash equivalents, and credit card transactions for bookings, working closely with third-party processors.
Manage the disbursement of travel agent commissions, including reconciliation, funding requests, and onboarding/maintenance in Seaware and NetSuite.
Monitor and process guest refunds, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
Handle credit statements, agency communications, reporting, and reconciliations.
Oversee credit operations, including collections, chargebacks, and dispute resolutions.
Maintain and enhance internal controls related to cash and credit card transactions, implementing updates as needed.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations and company policies.
Develop, review, and update financial policies and procedures.
Lead the maintenance and improvement of cash and credit card processing systems, including system design, implementation, and testing.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all related accounts.
Stay up to date with industry regulations, trends, and best practices in cash and credit card processing.
Support ad hoc projects and perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, cash management, or financial operations.
Strong knowledge of financial reconciliation, internal controls, and compliance standards.
Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite and Seaware is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
