Job Details
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing financial reporting, general ledger activities, month-end close, and compliance for the company’s growing operations. This role requires a strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in NetSuite, possess excellent analytical skills, and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Close & Reporting
Lead and support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
Assist in preparing financial reports for senior management, highlighting key trends and variances.
Cost Accounting & Inventory Management
Maintain accurate cost accounting records, ensuring proper tracking of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and margins to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Partner with operations to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
General Ledger & Compliance
Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controls, supporting external audits and tax compliance.
Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
Support tax filings, fixed asset management, and regulatory compliance.
ERP & Process Improvement
Leverage NetSuite to enhance financial reporting, streamline processes, and improve data integrity.
Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency.
Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial processes and decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory management principles.
Experience working with NetSuite ERP (or similar ERP systems).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
