This organization is seeking a high performing Accountant, as the current leader has less than 10 years of experience and has been promoted 3 times!! This is a fast growing company, seeking someone who is looking to kick-start/fast-track their career! The ideal candidate is someone with account reconciliations, financial reporting, intercompany consolidations experience; is ideally a CPA or CPA candidate and excited about working for an employee run organization! This company is also working a hybrid schedule-2 days/week remote.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
3. Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
4. Review company financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs.
5. Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
6. Monitor the financial performance of the company and compare actual results with plans and forecasts to identify trends and explore potential improvements.
7. Collaborate with external auditors by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
8. Oversee and manage the consolidated financial statements for multiple entities.
9. Develop and implement robust financial policies and control procedures.
10. Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
11. Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
4. Proven experience in the manufacturing and auto industries.
5. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
6. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
7. Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
8. Proven ability to handle month-end close and account reconciliations.
9. Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
11. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
12. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
13. Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on staff development and team building.
