Job Details
- Work Hybrid Remote
- Lead Real Estate Finance Transactions: Manage lender-side real estate finance deals, including debt and equity financing structures.
- Draft and Negotiate Agreements: Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documentation, including loan agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and commercial leases.
- Securitized Lending Expertise: Handle complex securitized lending, conducting due diligence and managing title and survey review processes.
- Transaction Lifecycle Support: Support clients throughout the entire lifecycle of transactions, from initial negotiation to closing and post-closing matters.
- Collaboration and Deal Structuring: Collaborate with partners and senior counsel to structure and close deals while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, contributing to the growth of the firm’s real estate finance practice.
- Mentorship and Team Leadership: Mentor junior attorneys and support staff, offering professional guidance and developing their skills in real estate finance matters.
- Firm-Wide Engagement: Participate in firm-wide initiatives, including pro bono work, diversity programs, and knowledge-sharing efforts.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar license.
- 6+ years of experience in real estate finance transactions, preferably with a focus on lender-side work.
- Extensive experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex debt and equity financing agreements, including purchase and sale transactions.
- Strong background in securitized lending, due diligence, and managing title and survey reviews.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial leasing and real estate transactional law.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
- A proactive, client-focused approach with a track record of developing strong relationships and contributing to business development.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
