Job Details

A Project Manager with 5-10 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering is sought for a role with the following qualifications and responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Strong technical aptitude and track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
Expert in program management tools
Good communication skills, both oral and written
Experience in powertrain, drivetrain and support systems
Vehicle certifications for emissions and safety knowledge
Understanding of Class-8 trucks and their sub-systems
High voltage safety protocols knowledge
High volume manufacturing experience
Familiarity with APQP toolset (FMEAs, DVP&Rs)
Experience facilitating 8Ds
Self-starter with strong follow-through skills
Collaborative personality with a willingness to learn and adapt
Ability to follow complex instructions
Travel to visit engineering providers and hardware suppliers (10%)
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Good customer communication skills (internal and external)
Competency with Microsoft Office Suite
PMP certification

Responsibilities:

Develop and coordinate information flow for project planning and execution to meet business objectives
Lead the delivery of major engineering projects, manage project plans, and track progress
Assist engineering teams and resolve issues
Implement Stage Gate processes for milestones and gates
Manage hardware, software, and vehicle system deliverables to meet schedules
Track Requirements and Specifications alignment
Lead financial forecasting and budget tracking
Interact with Tier 1 suppliers and external consultants
Provide updates on engineering status and project spends
Ensure key APQP documents (FMEAs, DVP&Rs) are completed
Facilitate 8D and problem resolution workshops
Create purchase orders for hardware and services
Mentor and coach engineering team members
Manage cost models for mechanical, electrical, and battery system components.
