Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Corporate Tax Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing and reviewing corporate federal and state income tax returns and estimates, and coordinating tax payments.
2. Analyzing and documenting tax positions and strategies, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
3. Assisting with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740.
4. Researching and advising on tax issues, including the implications of new tax laws and regulations.
5. Coordinating and managing audits by various taxation authorities.
6. Collaborating with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
7. Developing and implementing strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
8. Responding to notices from federal and state tax authorities.
9. Maintaining tax balances on general ledger.
10. Assisting in financial planning and analysis.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree in Taxation or a CPA certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax role, with a focus on corporate tax. Experience in a public accounting firm is a plus.
3. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, compliance issues, and procedures for corporations.
4. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax information clearly.
7. High degree of professionalism and integrity, with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
8. Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability and a proven track record of delivering results.
