We are seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic Senior Cost Accountant to join our thriving Manufacturing team. This permanent role will be pivotal in ensuring the financial stability and growth of our company. The Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for maintaining and controlling the general ledger accounts, conducting complex analyses, and preparing reports. Responsibilities
As a Senior Cost Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Analyzing and compiling data from production reports and schedules to determine costs of business activities.
2. Recommending budget adjustments and other cost improvement measures.
3. Coordinating with the internal audit team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
4. Managing fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules.
5. Conducting physical inventories and monitoring cycle count program.
6. Assisting in month end close of the general ledger.
7. Conducting regular ledger maintenance.
8. Reviewing standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
9. Preparing detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, liability accounts for customers.
10. Developing and managing the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
11. Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment.
3. Proficiency in SAP and other accounting software.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
5. Ability to work closely with non-financial personnel on detailed financial subjects.
6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail—excellent problem-solving skills.
7. Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office products.
8. Working knowledge of fixed assets.

10. Ability to manage and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
