Are you passionate about making sense of large data sets? Do you have a knack for understanding business processes and how to track and optimize them? We are seeking an experienced Contract Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our data architecture. You will work closely with our financial and business departments, providing technical expertise to create solutions that improve our decision-making processes and support our financial analysis. This is a contract position with potential for extension or transition to a permanent role.

- Design, construct, install, test and maintain data management systems.
- Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
- Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, and conceptual models.
- Align architecture with business requirements.
- Data mining using state-of-the-art methods.
- Extend the company’s data with third party sources of information when needed.
- Enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems.
- Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.
- Do ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner.
- Create automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Create SQL Stored Procedures for automation and audit purposes.
- Develop Power BI reports and dashboards to provide insights and visualization of data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Experience in SQL, SQL stored procedures, and SQL queries.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI and PowerApps.
- Working knowledge of accounting software, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
