We are an industry-leading Top 200 ENR General Contractor seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position where you will play a pivotal role in our commercial construction projects. With your expertise in estimating, you will be integral in driving our company's success, ensuring cost-effective and timely project completion. This role demands a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of all facets of commercial construction estimating, project bidding, contract negotiation, project planning, and cost control.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Estimator, you will:

1. Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for our commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, permits, and other related costs.
2. Review and interpret project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive project estimates.
3. Conduct risk and opportunity analysis to present clear cost implications for various design and construction options.
4. Participate in project bidding, preparing thorough and accurate bid packages to secure new projects.
5. Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to ensure the best possible terms for the company.
6. Collaborate with project managers and other team members on project planning and scheduling.
7. Oversee the pre-construction phase, ensuring all cost, timeline, and quality expectations are clearly defined and met.
8. Implement cost control measures and regularly report on project costs to stakeholders.
9. Conduct take-offs and utilize tilt-up construction methods as required.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

1. A minimum of 5-10 years of estimating or field experience in the commercial construction industry.
2. Proven experience in project estimating, commercial construction, cost estimating, budget management, project bidding, contract negotiation, project planning, pre-construction, blueprint reading, cost control, cost reporting, take-offs, commercial construction estimating, and tilt-up construction.
3. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
4. Proficiency in using industry-standard estimating software and technology.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure favorable terms for the company.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
8. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
9. A proven track record of delivering accurate and timely estimates that contribute to project success.
10. The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
