Position Description:

The Senior Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for the effective deployment of HR programs, policies, and practices and serve as an advocate for employees and management. Partner with the Director of HR and management to identify HR-appropriate solutions that ensure employee and business needs are met, focusing on the organization’s culture and values.

Functions/Accountabilities:
  • Provide employee relations guidance to employees and management; identify and actively respond with sensitivity to the needs of employees
and business leaders.
  • Provide high-level and timely customer service to employees and management; demonstrating flexibility and patience to effectively coach team
members on constantly changing priorities and comfortably deal with sensitive issues.
  • In collaboration with the HR team, develops and leads the recruitment strategies to meet the needs of the business, including, job postings, and
screening candidates. including but not limited to conducting background and reference checks, negotiating salary offers, administration of
offer letters, facilitation of candidates through the new hire process, and other internal communications
  • Manage day-to-day HR administration of employee performance programs, benefits and
retirement plans (employee enrollment, administration, compliance, reporting, reconciliation, communications with service providers, and
answering employee inquiries), employee leave of absence, workers’ compensation claims, and unemployment claims.
  • Manage HRIS data ensuring compliance and accuracy; complete required data entry, conduct regular audits, and make corrections; manage
system implementations to automate processes and maximize the system.
  • Proactively identify problem areas and propose solutions, across the organization and within the HR team.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement new HR policies and processes as required to grow the business and ensure compliance with all local,
federal, and state regulations.
  • Model and reinforce our culture and values.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:
  • 3-8 years of experience within the HR field
  • Prior experience across HR disciplines; administration of benefit plans, leave of absences, workers’ compensation, safety, employee relations,
compliance, wage and hour, and use of HRIS systems
  • Approaches their HR role with heart and without Ego; demonstrated ability to build trust
and relationships across the workforce
  • High level of personal integrity and ethics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive HR processes and to deliver high-quality HR services in a
fast-paced and growth environment; prior experience transitioning from manual to
automated/streamlined processes
  • Strong project management, organization, and time management skills with the ability to
work on multiple priorities
  • Can-do mentality, Self-starter, adaptable, highly motivated and achievement oriented
