We are seeking an experienced Permanent Senior Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. We are seeking an experienced Permanent Senior Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex litigation cases, providing expert legal advice, and representing our clients in court. Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of civil litigation from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
- Develop litigation strategies and present them to clients and senior management.
- Represent clients in court, before government agencies, or in private legal matters.
- Communicate with clients, colleagues, judges, and others involved in the case.
- Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, etc. in pursuit of favorable resolution of claims.
- Participate in extensive document review and fact-finding, working with complex data within tight timeframes.
- Counsel clients on their legal rights and obligations.
- Advise insurance companies on complex litigation matters, particularly relating to trucking accidents.
- Mentor and coach junior attorneys and support staff.
Qualifications:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Litigation Attorney, with a focus on civil litigation, trucking, and insurance companies.
- Proven experience in handling trucking accident cases and can run a docket and carry a large caseload indepentally
- Admission to the state bar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts.
- A high level of professionalism and outstanding business judgement.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
