Senior Plumbing Engineer

A Plumbing Engineer in the MEP (Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing) Practice shall provide waste & vent, water distribution, roof drainage/storm and fire protection scope designs. Project types include…

• Park District (recreation centers, pools & maintenance buildings)
• Apartments, Senior living and mixed-use facilities
• Restaurants & entertainment
• Gas stations, C-stores and retail
• Offices and warehouses
• Healthcare facilities

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Produce/maintain design drawings & specifications from schematic design through construction administration
• Conduct field surveys and construction observation
• Engage with clients and staff in order to manage and coordinate scope and schedule

Required Skills/Abilities/Education:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience designing plumbing systems
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit proficiency a plus
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel
• Familiarity with building codes (ILPC, IPC, UFC, IECC)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering related field is preferred, but not required
• PE licensure is a plus
