We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Preconstruction Manager to join our team. This is a permanent position that will play a critical role in our commercial healthcare construction projects. This position requires a seasoned professional who has a deep understanding of all aspects of commercial construction, including ground up, renovation, tenant improvement (TI), design build, core and shell, and shell. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing preconstruction activities, preparing RFQs, and developing accurate conceptual estimates.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Preconstruction Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing all aspects of preconstruction, including estimating, bidding, and subcontractor selection.
2. Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors.
3. Coordinating and leading design-build efforts for commercial healthcare construction projects.
4. Managing the preparation of RFQs and conceptual estimates, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
5. Collaborating with the project team to understand and manage client expectations.
6. Providing guidance and expertise on ground up, renovation, TI, design build, core and shell, and shell construction methodologies.
7. Participating in project meetings and providing input on issues that impact project budget, quality, timing, and client satisfaction.
8. Identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
9. Ensuring all preconstruction activities align with company standards and client objectives.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1. Minimum of 8 years of experience in preconstruction management for commercial healthcare construction projects.
2. Proven experience with ground up, renovation, TI, design build, core and shell, and shell construction methodologies.
3. Experience in preparing RFQs and developing conceptual estimates.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
7. Proficient in relevant construction software.
8. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. Professional certifications in construction management or a related field are a plus.
