Senior Project Accountant

We are a leading construction company specializing in fence installation for both commercial clients as well as home-owners throughout the greater Northeast. We are hiring an experienced project accountant to join our team, that ideally has prior experience in the Construction / Real Estate Development space.

You'll be a full lifecycle accountant, helping with invoicing, AR/AP, payroll, bank reconciliations, month-end close, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of project accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Prepare and review project budgets and forecasts, ensuring that they are accurate and up-to-date
• Work closely with project managers to ensure that all project costs are properly tracked and accounted for
• Prepare and review project invoices, ensuring that they are accurate and timely
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring that all invoices are paid on time and all payments are received in a timely manner
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial records, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately
• Prepare financial statements and other reports as required by management
• Ensure compliance with all accounting policies and procedures, as well as all applicable laws and regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3+ years of project accounting experience in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Quickbooks and other accounting software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
