Senior Project Engineer

Located in beautiful Sacramento we are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in the heavy civil construction industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the opportunity to work 100% remotely. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing various construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed within the set time frame and budget. You will be dealing with a range of tasks including roadway, paving, and concrete works. This role requires an individual who is competent in construction management, project engineering, and civil works. Responsibilities:

• Managing and overseeing a wide range of construction projects, from initial planning to completion.
• Developing and implementing project strategies and plans, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Coordinating with various stakeholders including clients, contractors, and other engineers.
• Overseeing roadway, bridge, grading, paving, underground, and utilities projects.
• Preparing and reviewing engineering plans, designs, and specifications.
• Conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Utilizing Primavera, CAD, AGTEK, and other software for project management and design tasks.
• Managing earthwork and deep foundation projects, and overseeing soil stabilization processes.
• Resolving any issues or problems that may arise during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent.
• Years of experience as a Project Engineer working on heavy civil paving construction projects.
• Knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., plus an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines.
