Senior Project Engineer

Our organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Energy division. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative energy projects. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing complex energy projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This position requires a high level of expertise in various areas including tank inspection, cost projection, procurement processes, construction, and project development. The successful candidate will be a key player in our organization, driving the success of our industrial and commercial scope projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of project development, from inception to completion.
• Conduct regular tank inspections to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
• Develop accurate cost projections and manage procurement processes.
• Coordinate and supervise construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Establish criteria for project success and monitor progress against these criteria.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all parties are kept informed of project progress.
• Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to effectively communicate project plans, schedules, and progress reports.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and ensure all projects are in compliance.
• Utilize project scheduling tools to manage project timelines and resources.
• Use SAP for project management and reporting purposes.
• Maintain a current TWIC card and API 653 certification.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project engineering within the energy industry.
• Strong knowledge of tank inspection, cost projection, procurement processes, and construction.
• Proven experience with industrial and commercial scope projects.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
• Excellent project management and coordination skills.
• Current TWIC card and API 653 certification are required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to establish and monitor project success criteria.
• Proven ability to manage project schedules effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
