Job Details

The Project Manager is responsible for leading assigned projects to successful completion, ensuring alignment with client goals and the Firm’s Mission and Vision. This role requires sound judgment, technical acumen, and the ability to manage complex, non-routine assignments independently, under the guidance of the Director of Project Management.

The Project Manager serves as a key representative of both the firm and the client, making critical decisions, resolving project challenges, and coordinating teams and resources effectively. This position demands a high level of expertise, developed through a combination of education and progressively responsible experience.

In executing project management duties, the Project Manager will:
  • Interpret and align with the client’s vision, goals, and expectations
** Project experience in federal or aerospace/aviation is necessary
  • Serve as a primary point of communication with the client, their representatives, design and construction teams, contractors, and relevant agencies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Prepare project proposals and contracts in compliance with Firm policies.
  • Create detailed project plans, including activity schedules, key milestones, and cost projections over the project timeline.
  • Collaborate with department staff to establish the Firm’s project budget; communicate, manage, and monitor the budget throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Request and coordinate appropriate staffing resources to meet both client and Firm objectives.
  • Clearly communicate both client and Firm expectations to internal and external team members.
  • Lead and manage the internal project team and consultants to execute project tasks effectively.
  • Coordinate project activities to meet Firm commitments while upholding quality standards, profitability targets, brand integrity, and client satisfaction.
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the duration of the project.
  • Prepare project-related documentation, including Instructions to Bidders, General and Supplementary Conditions, and Division I Specifications.
  • Motivate, support, and mentor project team members in collaboration with discipline directors.
  • Produce project status reports that include key metrics such as timeline progress, cost tracking, and profit forecasts versus actuals.
  • Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation.
  • Prepare scopes of work, solicit proposals, and manage agreements and purchase orders for external service providers.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited four-year institution.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience aligned with the essential duties and responsibilities of the role.

Requirement:
  • Must be a Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA)
