Senior Project Manager

Based in Spokane, WA, we're a construction company that's been a leader in our region for 75 years and counting! Our commercial projects encompass civic and community centers, healthcare, education and offices/work spaces! We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead some of our biggest healthcare projects!

Job Details:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is a permanent role with an opportunity to work on a variety of exciting commercial construction projects, particularly within the healthcare sector. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a pivotal role that will require strategic planning, problem-solving, and exceptional leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of commercial construction projects, specifically in the healthcare sector.
2. Oversee the entire lifecycle of projects, from initial concept and feasibility, through design, contract negotiations, construction, handover, and post-completion review.
3. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including risk management, quality control, and communication plans.
4. Coordinate and supervise the work of project teams, including architects, engineers, estimators, contractors, and other professionals.
5. Ensure all project activities comply with company policies and legal requirements, particularly health and safety regulations.
6. Manage project budgets, including tracking expenditures and forecasting costs.
7. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear communication.
8. Conduct regular site inspections and project meetings to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
9. Prepare and present project reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
10. Continually seek opportunities for improvement, innovation, and cost savings.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of years' 7+experience in a senior project management role within the construction industry, specifically commercial construction and healthcare projects.
2. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
3. Proven track record of managing large-scale commercial construction projects from start to finish.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, quality control, costs, and safety regulations.
5. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate diverse teams.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
7. Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience in managing project budgets.
8. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
9. Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
10. A professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
11. Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
