Job Details

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for our Commercial Construction division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, architecture, and engineering disciplines such as civil, mechanical, and electrical. This role requires an individual who is not only technically proficient but also possesses strong leadership and vendor management skills. As a Permanent Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. You will also be expected to use Procore, our project management software, to facilitate project planning, coordination, and execution.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of the project.
2. Manage the project budget, including the estimation, forecasting, and control of project costs.
3. Lead and manage the project team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication, high morale, and positive team dynamics.
4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring their performance meets the project's requirements and standards.
5. Use Procore project management software to manage project schedules, resources, risks, and changes.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
7. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project design and execution align with the project's objectives and specifications.
8. Conduct regular project reviews and report on project status to senior management.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management, including experience in managing large-scale commercial construction projects. Bonus points for experience within: Heavy & Light industrial, Healthcare, and/or Institutional projects.
3. Proficiency in Procore or similar construction project management software.
4. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, regulations, and industry standards.
5. Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
6. Track record of managing vendors and subcontractors effectively.
7. Strong budget management skills, including the ability to estimate, forecast, and control project costs.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and senior management.
9. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred.
