We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Senior Property Accountant to join our growing team in the Accounting + Finance industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of property accounting for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties, including CAM reconciliations and Yardi software. Responsibilities:

As a Senior Property Accountant, you will:

• Oversee and manage all financial aspects of a portfolio of commercial real estate properties.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly CAM reconciliations and tenant billings.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
• Utilize Yardi software to streamline property accounting processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with property managers and other stakeholders to resolve any financial discrepancies or issues.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure the accuracy of financial data and adherence to internal controls.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting for assigned properties.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, and implement necessary adjustments to accounting practices.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Property Accountant role, you must have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or other relevant professional certification is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, with a focus on commercial real estate. Experience with CAM reconciliations is essential.
• Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of guiding and developing junior staff.
• A high level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and corporate responsibility.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
