Job Details

We are looking for a Senior Scientist specializing in Biophysical Characteristics to work in our RTP facility. You'll be joining our Center of Excellence for Analytical Services and home of our Inhalation franchise including product development, clinical and commercial manufacturing for pMDI, DPI and Nasal Sprays.

Job Duties:
  • Develop and execute laboratory work plans/schedules for self and junior members of team, using customer milestones and Division/Site performance standards and metrics
  • Authors and may approve technical documents, such as protocols, test methods, text reports, certificates of analysis, and operating procedures
  • Review technical documents for accuracy, thoroughness and regulatory compliance
  • Trains, coaches or mentors others on technical, personal development or business issues
  • Responsible as Technical Lead on one or more projects, with responsibility for project outcome and customer interaction

Ideal Background:
  • 7+ years of experience with HPLC (high-performing liquid chromatography), CE (cation-exchange), IC (ion chromatography), and Mass Spectrometry
  • Experience producing high quality laboratory documentation in accordance with cGMP guidelines
  • Ability to evaluate and assess impact of proposed changes to controlled documents and/or project scope
  • Interpreting data from multiple disciplines and prioritize and suggest alternatives or contingencies to achieve the correct technical solutions with most efficient resource utilization
  • Leadership development/ supervisory skills are expected
  • Bachelor’s, Masters, or Doctorate degree in Biology
