Job Details

You will be responsible for tasks relating to test areas, projects, or quality programs with a high-level involvement in the day-to-day testing and quality activities. You will be working in the Microbiology Department in a full-time lab and office environment.

  • Primary responsibility is the routine activities associated with performing tests, test area, or quality systems, including preparing samples, running instruments, and/or administering quality programs.
  • Routine activities will include: Water Analysis (Total Viable Count, Absence of coliforms, total organic carbon, and conductivity), Conduct Bacterial Endotoxin testing of water samples and products using Kinetic Turbidimetric Methods, Bioburden Testing in support of sterilization validation, and quarter dose audits, Raw material and finish product release testing in accordance with compendia methods (<61> Microbial Limit Test, <51> AET Test, <71> Sterility Test)
  • Assist with method development, transfers, and validations in accordance with GMP guidelines
  • Author and review technical or quality methods, procedures, protocols, and reports in accordance with GDP
  • Assists with laboratory projects from set-up through data interpretation and reporting

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a closely related field
  • Knowledge and experience using aseptic technique, autoclaves, gram staining
  • Overseeing and administering standard microbiology functions.
  • Preparing fundamental functional reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
  • Fundamental principles, practices, and techniques of microbiology.
  • Fundamental methods to resolve microbiology problems, questions, and concerns.
  • Laws, codes, and regulations surrounding microbiology
