The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of electric power substations. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, combined with practical experience in the field. The individual will work closely with a team of skilled professionals to ensure the efficient operation of our substations. Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and test electrical equipment and systems, ensuring they meet project requirements and standards.
2. Plan and oversee the construction and maintenance of electric power substations.
3. Analyze and resolve complex engineering problems related to equipment failure and system performance.
4. Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
5. Prepare technical specifications and detailed engineering reports.
6. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
7. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
8. Participate in project meetings and conduct site inspections.
9. Stay updated with the latest advancements in substation technology and industry trends.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. At least 5 years of experience in substation engineering.
3. Proficiency in using engineering software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar.
4. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, substation equipment, and power distribution.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulatory requirements.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
