The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing multifamily construction projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate and supervise the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction, ensuring that the project gets done on time and within budget.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Prepare and negotiate the terms of all project contracts and ensure all parties understand both the scope and limitations of the contract.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
- Implement and manage quality control programs.
- Conduct site checks to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
- Resolve any problems that may arise due to inclement weather, emergencies or other issues that may cause delays.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry, with a focus on multifamily, wood frame, ground up, and mid rise projects.
- Proven track record of successfully completed projects, demonstrating leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
- Understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations as well as quality standards and human resources.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Aptitude in problem-solving.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction science, construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
