About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to advance their career quickly into an Engineer role. With a focus on managing complex systems in VMWare, Azure Cloud, and IP Voice Communications, this role is ideal for a professional with 5+ years of experience. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in Microsoft technologies and certifications, and be comfortable with on-site work in Virginia Beach, VA.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, configure, and maintain VMware environments to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
• Administer and support Azure Cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Oversee and troubleshoot IP Voice Communications systems.
• Ensure the integration, performance, and security of complex systems.
• Provide technical support for a variety of operating systems and platforms.
• Lead projects related to system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to resolve system issues, ensure uptime, and optimize performance.
• Document processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide proactive recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
• Assist in the training and mentorship of junior team members.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure support, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft technologies (certifications required).
• Extensive experience with VMWare, Azure Cloud, and IP Voice Communications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt quickly and manage shifting priorities.
• A strong desire for career advancement in an engineering role.

Preferred (But Not Required):

• Relevant industry certifications, including but not limited to MCSA, MCSE, VCP, or Azure certifications.
• Experience with scripting or automation tools is a plus.
