The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in managing VMware environments, Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Microsoft Azure technologies. This role also emphasizes system security and application management.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize VMware environments, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
  • Monitor and maintain virtual machines and storage resources to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Configure, manage, and secure Windows Server 2019 & 2022 environments.
  • Implement security hardening measures, including updates, patches, and policy enforcement.
  • Implement, and manage Active Directory infrastructure including Group Policies.
  • Develop and propagate Group Policies (GPOs) using Microsoft Intune to enforce compliance.
  • Configure and manage Windows Defender and other security tools on servers/desktops.
  • Administer tools like CyberArk for privileged access management.
  • Manage and configure Exchange 365, including applying filters, rules, and handling mail security.
  • Configure and administer Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and application load balancing using F5 (or similar) tools/suites.
  • Analyze and manage system logs using tools like Splunk to ensure system health and security.
  • Configure and maintain Azure services, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and network interfaces.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of IT systems.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12+ years of progressive system administration experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • VMware Suite: vSphere, ESXi, vCenter.
  • Windows Server Administration: Windows Server 2019 & 2022, Windows Defender, and WAF configuration.
  • Active Directory: Group Policies, MS Intune (or equivalent tools), MS Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), MS Sentinel and MS Purview
  • Load Balancers: F5 or similar load-balancing platforms.
  • Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Email and Messaging Systems: Exchange Online administration, filter configuration, and security optimization.
  • Securing email with Mimecast.
  • Privileged Access Management: CyberArk.
  • Monitoring and Backups: Splunk for log analysis; backup tools like Veeam or similar.
  • Cloud Experience: Microsoft Azure (virtual machines, storage, identity management).
  • Certifications: VMware VCP-DCV (Data Center Virtualization), Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate and Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • Experience managing AWS (cloud front, EC2, route 53, S3, etc.) is desirable
