Senior Tax Accountant

A growing, privately owned global real estate investment, development and management firm, founded over 50 years ago. This rapidly growing company has a presence in over hundreds of cities, and dozens of countries with almost $100 billion in assets under management!

The ideal candidate will come with 3+ years of experience, as well as a CPA and preferably some experience within public.

• Prepare and review US federal tax compliance for US and international partnerships, disregarded entities and REITs holding real estate projects
• Prepare quarterly analysis/monitoring of the REIT income and asset tests
• Read and summarize leases and service contracts from a tax perspective
• Prepare ASC 740 calculations for international projects
• Assist with international and domestic acquisitions including review of tax models and review for REIT tax issues
• Prepare/review year-end E&P and Tax calculations of the REITs (completed in mid-January)

o Assist in coordinating and managing the information flow internally and with our external service providers
o Review provider prepared returns
o Prepare other tax elections, filings and applications; respond to notices
o Prepare four-year tax estimates
o Assist with partner inquiries
o Prepare memos and documentation
o Perform tax research for federal, state and international issues
o Issues include Subchapter K, FIRPTA, Transfer pricing, foreign withholding, ASC 740 documentation, REITs/TRSs and all related issues
o Assist Tax Manager and Senior Tax Manager with special projects and tax research related to a Real Estate Investment Trust, as needed

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field from an accredited institution
• CPA required
• Three or more years of professional accounting experience
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred
