RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting investment and deal teams in new business acquisitions or sales procedures
• Conducting the examination and/or preparation of federal, state, and local income/franchise tax returns and managing estimated/extension tax payments
• Performing or evaluating the different federal and state elements of quarterly income tax accruals, conducting reconciliations for federal and state tax accounts, maintaining deferred tax items, and calculating current and deferred federal and state tax for provision reporting purposes
• Collecting, arranging, computing, and accurately utilizing data from the general ledger and accounting (VEGA) and trading (VISTA) systems
• Addressing federal and state income and franchise tax audits as well as jurisdictional tax notifications
• Discerning opportunities for tax savings and executing tax planning strategies
• Completing additional responsibilities as assigned. Please note that this job description can be modified at any time
• Regular attendance is a critical requirement for this position

This position will require in office attendance Monday to Friday

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3 years of federal/state tax consulting experience or equivalent federal/state tax compliance experience in business or industry
• Federal tax experience is required
• Advanced Excel skills are required
• Exposure to partnership tax is preferred
• CPA license is preferred
