Senior Tax Manager

The rapidly growing cross-border team seeks to add a Senior Tax Manager to its US Tax team in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We are a firm that provides expatriation and cross-border tax planning and compliance for US individuals and companies around the world.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US Tax and have strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities:

• Lead team preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and answer their tax-related questions
• Identify tax-saving opportunities for clients
• Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and timely tax preparation
• Collaborate with other members of the finance team to provide comprehensive financial services to clients
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all tax-related activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in tax preparation, review, and compliance
• Strong knowledge of US tax laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and tax preparation software
• CPA certification preferred but not required
