We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Tax Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to our strategic growth while leading our tax operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, tax planning, and tax accounting. This role requires a deep understanding of ASC 740, Tax Provisions, CPA, and FIN48.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Tax Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to our strategic growth while leading our tax operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, tax planning, and tax accounting. This role requires a deep understanding of ASC 740, Tax Provisions, CPA, and FIN48.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all corporate tax operations, including compliance with local, state, federal and international tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
- Analyze and document FIN 48 and ASC 740-10 (formerly FAS 109 and FIN 48) tax positions.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
- Provide leadership and support to the tax department staff, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants, managing audits and inquiries relating to tax matters.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations that may impact the company's operations.
- Advise management on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities and potential tax strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm or a corporate tax department, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of ASC 740, Tax Provisions, and FIN48 is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in managing a high-performing team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-judged decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
- Proficient in tax preparation and research software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Strong commitment to staying informed and updated with changes in tax laws and regulations.
