We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Senior Technical Accountant to join our fast-paced Tech Services team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of our organization. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Technical Accountant, you will be responsible for:
1. Preparing and analyzing complex financial reports and statements to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
2. Performing periodic and ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
3. Leading the financial audit process by liaising with internal and external auditors, preparing necessary documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
4. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and analyzing variances to improve financial performance.
5. Streamlining and improving financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
6. Participating in technical accounting research and providing recommendations on the application of accounting standards.
7. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and guidance.
8. Assisting in special projects as assigned by the management.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Technical Accountant role should possess:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting, audit, or a related role, preferably in public accounting
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and audit procedures.
4. Proficiency in technical accounting with the ability to research, interpret, and apply complex accounting standards.
5. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information to non-finance professionals.
7. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced Excel skills.
8. The ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
9. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
