Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Direct and oversee all Part 135 maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
2. Lead and manage a team of aircraft engineers and maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
3. Develop and implement maintenance strategies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
4. Liaise with FAA officials and other regulatory bodies, ensuring all maintenance activities meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
5. Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of maintenance operations.
6. Oversee the budgeting, planning, and execution of maintenance projects.
7. Provide technical expertise and guidance on aircraft engineering and maintenance matters.
8. Ensure the timely and efficient repair and maintenance of aircraft, minimizing downtime and disruption.
9. Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in aircraft engineering and maintenance technology.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft engineering and maintenance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
3. Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations, particularly Part 135 and FAA 145 repair station requirements.
4. Proven leadership skills, with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
5. Strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in relevant software and technology.
9. Commitment to continuous improvement and staying abreast of industry trends and advancements.
10. FAA certification or equivalent would be a significant advantage.
